Akwaaba Doll Necklace

Akwaaba, an Akan word for “welcome,” lends this necklace a warm spirit of invitation. Its doll pendant is inspired by the Ashanti and Akan peoples of Ghana and the Baoulé people of Côte d’Ivoire, whose histories include migration from Ghana. A contemporary silver piece, it carries a story of connection across communities without losing its understated, wearable feel.
